Color Picker
Click a color in the honeycomb palette to see its HEX, RGB and HSL codes, or type a hex code like ff00ff to preview the real color. Everything runs in your browser.
How to use
- Pick from the palette: click any hexagon and its HEX, RGB and HSL codes appear on the right.
- Check a code: type a hex code such as
ff00ffor#f0finto the input and the actual color shows in a large preview; if the palette has the same color, it is highlighted. - Copy it: use the copy button next to each code to paste it straight into your CSS.
All color math runs inside your browser — nothing is sent to a server or stored.
HEX vs. RGB: what's the difference?
RGB describes a color as red (R), green (G) and blue (B) light, each a number from 0 to 255. HEX writes the same three values as two-digit hexadecimal numbers joined as #RRGGBB. For example, #ff00ff is R=255, G=0, B=255 — that is, rgb(255, 0, 255), magenta. HSL describes color by hue, saturation and lightness, which makes tweaks like "a bit lighter" easy.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the color I pick sent anywhere?
No. Everything is calculated in your browser and never sent to a server.
Does the 3-digit form (#f0f) work?
Yes. A 3-digit code is expanded by doubling each digit to 6 digits (#ff00ff). Case and the # sign don't matter.
How do I get a color that isn't in the palette?
Type any hex code and you get its preview plus the RGB and HSL values.
